Connect the phone to your workspace and verify that a normal SIM call appears in the dashboard. If it is not connected yet, follow “Set up an employee’s phone” first.
CallSync uploads recordings made by the phone’s calling app. It does not create the original recording.
Choose your phone
Expand your phone family below for what to check in its calling app. You only need the option that applies to your device. Menu names and recording availability vary by model, software and region.
Samsung
If the default calling app is Samsung Phone, open its settings and look for Record calls → Auto record calls. Enable it if that model and region offer it.
If Samsung Phone does not show recording settings, check the actual installed calling app. Use its manual Record option if available; the phone brand alone does not guarantee recording.
Xiaomi, Redmi & POCO
Check whether the default calling app is the Xiaomi calling app or Phone by Google. Many newer models use Phone by Google.
With a Xiaomi calling app that offers automatic recording, enable that option. With Phone by Google, check its available recording options; if it offers only a Record button, use it during the call.
Vivo & iQOO
Open the installed calling app’s recording settings. If the Vivo calling app offers automatic recording, enable it for the intended work calls.
If the device uses Phone by Google or has no automatic recording option, check for a manual Record button instead.
OPPO & Realme
Check the default calling app first: these phones may use a brand calling app or Phone by Google.
Enable automatic recording only where the installed calling app offers it. If it offers manual recording only, tap Record during a connected call.
OnePlus
Older and newer OnePlus models can use different calling apps. Check whether the actual phone uses OnePlus Phone or Phone by Google.
If OnePlus Phone offers automatic recording, enable it. If the device uses Phone by Google, check its available recording options and use manual recording when that is the only option.
Pixel & Motorola
These devices commonly use Phone by Google. Look for the recording controls in that app or during a connected call. Availability depends on the device and region.
If a Record button is available, use it during the call. If no recording option is available, call details can still sync, but there is no original audio for CallSync to upload.
Connect the saved audio to CallSync
On the phone, open CallSync → Settings → Business sync settings → Recordings. Follow the mode shown in the app.

If the recording does not appear
If the audio is missing on the phone, check the calling app first. If the audio exists but does not reach the dashboard, check folder access or manual sharing, Recording upload, internet and storage. Use the recording troubleshooting guide for the next checks.
