Before you connect

Have your CallSync account ready and use the workspace you want the assistant to access. Custom connections depend on your AI account and workspace permissions; an administrator may need to enable them.

Use this server URL

Enter the complete URL, including /mcp, when your AI app asks for a remote MCP server. Use the sign-in/OAuth flow offered by CallSync.

Verify the connection

  • Ask: “Show me my five most recent calls.”
  • Compare the returned employee, caller and time with the same calls in your CallSync dashboard.
  • Try: “Summarize the call history for this contact.”

If the connection fails

  • Check that the URL ends in /mcp, rather than /api/v1 or the dashboard address.
  • If no calls are returned, verify the connected workspace and whether calls exist in the dashboard.
  • If tools are unavailable in the chat, select the CallSync plugin in ChatGPT or enable the connector in Claude.
  • For sign-in errors, reconnect and confirm you can sign in to CallSync directly. Do not paste passwords into chat.

Manage or disconnect access

Manage authorized apps in CallSync → API & Apps. You can also remove or disconnect the connection in your AI app. Review tool requests before allowing changes to workspace data.
